A-Coins are participation credits used only on AuctIt. They are not cash and cannot replace item prices. Listing prices and bids stay in **₹ INR**; buyers and sellers settle those payments off-platform.
**Conversion:** **1 A-Coin = ₹1** (whole coins only).
**Balance types:**
- **Promotional** — welcome grant (**20** on signup) and any ministry grants. These are never refundable.
- **Purchased** — bought via Cashfree. Unused purchased A-Coins can be refunded (minimum **2** coins, up to your unused purchased balance) minus a **2% processing fee** (minimum ₹1, rounded up).
When you spend or reserve A-Coins, **promotional coins are used first**, then purchased coins.
**Where they are used:**
- **Bidding** — each accepted bid reserves 1 A-Coin. Losers get reserved coins back when the auction ends; the winner’s spent coins are kept.
- **Listing** — submitting a listing reserves 1 A-Coin. It is charged only when the listing is approved; rejected listings release the reserve.
- **Extend auction** — extending a live auction costs 1 A-Coin immediately.
- **Promote listing** — from My listings, highlight an active classified or live auction as Valued: **99** A-Coins for 7 days, **149** for 14 days, or **249** for 30 days (charged immediately; another plan extends from the current promotion end).
